Northern Chamber Orchestra in conduction with the Buxton Festival have made a wonderful musical version of Stanley’s Stick which they have been performing to preschool and reception classes. Stanley’s Stick has been shortlisted for the Portsmouth Book Awards 2013! The Awards are to be judged by over 4,000 pupils from 32 Portsmouth schools with the winners announced later this year. Three new books have gone up on Neal’s website. Stanley’s Stick, Cheer Up Your Teddy Bear Emily Brown and Talk, Talk, Squawk! All three books were published in 2011 and are available from all good bookshops and libraries.
Stanley’s Stick has been nominated for The Clip Kate Greenaway Medal! The Kate Greenaway Medal was established in 1955, for distinguished illustration in a book for children. It is named after the popular nineteenth century artist known for her fine children’s illustrations and designs. You can read the list of all the nominated books here…
