Uncle Gobb and the Dread Shed has won both it’s category, and the overall prize at the Sheffield Children’s Book Awards today.

Congratulations to Michael Rosen and all at Bloomsbury Childrens books, and a HUGE thank you to all the young readers who chose it!

Recently I was invited to help judge a countywide competion to design a new Children’s Library card for Hampshire.

With over 80 amazing entries it was really REALLY difficult to choose winners, however we got there in the end and managed to select winners and highly commended in each age group.

The finalists will recieve their prizes at an awards ceremony in Chandler’s Ford Library on 24th November.

Well done to ALL to who entered. Overall I thought the standard very high– it’s so nice to see so many talented young artists in the county!

Emily Brown and the Thing are back on stage this Christmas! You can catch them at the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot 6-24 December… After which the show will move on to Australia, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and the USA!
