Stanley's Stick Nominated

Stanley’s Stick has been nominated for The Clip Kate Greenaway Medal!

The Kate Greenaway Medal was established in 1955, for distinguished illustration in a book for children. It is named after the popular nineteenth century artist known for her fine children’s illustrations and designs.

llustr8or is a visual literacy project working with schools to enhance learning through the art of visual storytelling.

8 well known children’s book illustrators, including Neal, will start 8 different stories and a number of schools will take it in turns spending a day creating their own next page to all the stories.

An original piece of artwork from the forthcoming new Emily Brown book, ‘Cheer Up Your Teddy Bear, Emily Brown’ is up for charity auction!

The funds generated from the sales are to help the work of two children’s charities, Chance UK and Trusts for African Schools (TAS).

The sale also includes artworks by  Oliver Jeffers,  David Roberts,  Bee Willey,  Mary Murphy,  Viviane Schwarz,  Christopher Corr, Nick Sharratt,  Adam Stower,  Thomas Docherty,  Garry Parsons,  Guy Parker-Rees, Rosie Reeve,  Sarah Gibb,  Alexis Deacon,  Mini Grey,  Ed Vere,  Adria Meserve and Sarah McIntyre.

A Comic Strip Review of Just the Right Size by Nicola Davies and Neal Layton…

 

Bartholomew and Bug makes it’s TV debut! The book is being read in the bedtime hour on the CBeebies channel. The show airs on the 4th July between 6 and 7 and the books are usually read around 6.40…

There’s an Emily Brown artwork for sale in the Angels and Urchins Charity auction! All proceeds go to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Happy bidding!
